ACCA Visits Barbados

Representatives from the Caribbean office of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), will visit Barbados on a promotional tour from March 25th to 29th, 2008. During this visit, they will host or attend several functions, in an effort to promote the qualifications and work of the ACCA among students, affiliates, members and employees of the accounting and finance sector locally.
Planned activities fo the week include:
- March 26th - Seminar for existing students to discuss implications and practical aspects of the ACCA's New Practical Experience Requirement;
- March 27th - Seminar for prospective students interested in a career in financial services and accounting;
- March 26th to 28th -Visits to secondary schools to meet with 5th and 6th formers;
- March 26th to 28th - Visits to employers to encouragee them to play more meaningful roles in supporting the studies and practical experience of their ACCA trainees;
- March 29th - Graduation ceremony for June and December 2007, ACCA Professional and Certified Acounting Technician (CAT) graduates.
ACCA invites you to be a part of these activities during the coming week as it continues work towards raising the profile of the organisation and its educational work for students, members and interested persons locally and regionally.
